Connellsville Township Volunteer Fire Department along with Fayette EMS and state police are at the scene of a truck accident along Springfield Pike in Connellsville Township. Crews were called to the scene around 9:30 a.m. The truck lay on its side blocking both lanes of traffic. Connellsville Township posted on its Facebook page that Route 711 would be closed for an extended period of time. PennDOT District 12 said the section of Route 711between the two intersections with McCoy Hollow Road in Connellsville Township is closed due to the tractor trailer crash. Motorists should seek alternate routes.
